Tassie. - Day 1 - Part 1

Day 1 saw us early to the airport, where we breakfasted, and amused ourselves with games from Tim's iphone, followed by a quick uneventful trip to Launceston.
Megs Malin and Tim were very excited to have their own car to do their road trip. They were especially pleased to recieve a red one..apparently this is important and makes a difference??

Our first stop was Cataract Gorge where we took the chairlift across the swollen river(we were apparently lucky as they closed access to the gorge the next day due to safety concerns after the recent floods).

Afterwe had crossed the gorge by chairlift, we walked back across the suspension bridge

and Dad showed off his chin up skills,

then hopped back in our cars and headed for Burnie, via. a raspberry farm ( don't bother), a cheese factory(don't bother),although these fibreglass cows provided entertainment

and a chocolate factory (the best part was the children's playground.
