Well, it was a month ago now - I don't want to inundate you with too much information at once on your monthly blog checks - Thank you Chris, Malin and Megan my lovely loyal literary audience.

I got lots of beautiful and very cool gifts (see pic) .(clockwise)

In the afternoon we went into Mrs Mcquarie's chair..Megan and I caught the Manly ferry across and walked around so we could queue up and get a table for dinner. Dad and the boys followed later so they could grab a good parking spot for our exit later in the night. ( a good parking spot is one that is not too far from the exit and which is pointing in the right direction so as to not get caught in the traffic jam exiting Art Gallery Road.) - and yes, we are expert aficionados of how to do Mrs Mac Open Air Cinema!! The movie was a new Australian movie called Cactus-genre thriller/drama- (A man is kidnapped from his city home in the quiet hours of the night and, the kidnapper, John Kelly, embarks on a journey into the Australian Outback towards the place where his hostage is due for delivery. As time and distance roll by, the strength and endurance of both men will be tested to the very end.) it started with a fair bit of promise and went no where. Dad's joke- "Cactus was a bit cactus"..know you ar rofling!!! Unfortuneately, as this was it's debut performance Bryan Brown et al were in attendance, and it got a very perfunctory clap out of the audience - felt a bit sorry for them.

There were heaps of people out and about - it being Australia Day ( so called I think, cos I was born in Austraya (insert Kim voice of Kath and Kim fame). Anyway, I came across these random boys who were entering in to the spirit with much joie de vivre, so I asked the dad if I could take a photo of them - he gave me this laconic stare and replied "you can take them home with you"..!! lol!!!

It was a good day!.
