Part 1 - Arrival of the QE2
So, having scarcely been on a boat in the last 50 years, I've found myself out on the harbour twice in the last month, firstly upon the James Craig to welcome in the Queens -- QE2 and QM2 and secondly upon the Harman as part of Sydney Harbour Bridge 75th birthday bash. I feel quite the mariner (ancient -never), hhahaha, despite the fact I'm yet to sail any further east than Bradley's Head!!
Sydney went quite gaga over the visit of the queens..- the harbour was packed, as was the foreshore. We had fireworks, champagne and a lovely midweek party. Lynn and I dealt very nicely with a bottle of champers each.
