A Day at the Cricket
Australia V West Indies.
Notice Barry waiting at Gate A... entrance to the Sydney Cricket Ground Members Stand..not for us the flotsam and jetsam of the Victor Trumper stand ( aka The Hill)!!:) hehe.
The cricket was fairly lacklustre, with only a couple of fours and one six in the Australian innings. I think we scored about 200 odd. Lunch followed ( dinner really since it was a day/night match - I think this was the highlight ( apart from our delight at our seating position)of the day. Very nice steak sandwiches, made with real steak and cooked to perfection..and a magnum!!( icecream..not champagne).
So after dinner, the West Indies, faced 5 balls for 2 runs, and then the rain started. We sat and watched in fascination and hope for an hour or so, til it was declared a wash out..and home we went. It had been fun and entertaining though.
