Art and About 2010

Sydney has been staging "Art and About"..an outdoor art exhibition of sorts, set around the laneways and statues of Sydney.
As usual, some of the "art" is dubious(i.e. the bench full of overflowing ashtrays), but mostly it's fun - this laneway with colour strips for a roof leading to picture of a house with a room for rent at the end.(It is apparently meant to represent our most basic need for shelter - or something)

The normally staid and boring concrete or bronze statues of Queen Vic et.al, passed-by daily by millions, with never-a-glance, were dressed for the occasion, and very entertaining!! I really liked them - the highlight of the day for me!.. I particularly liked this snapshot of Sydney going about it's business with the wig and his companion(client??), the cyclist and the pedestrians overlooked by a mad Queen Victoria with wand who was obviously dressed by Ken Done.
William Dalley (Hyde Park).

Shakespeare and his entouage (Shakespeare Place- outside the State Library.

Hyde Park staged a photo exhibition -this was my favourite- a very pretty photo of the fiveways @ Paddington-
and some entertainment for the kids by this bubble maker wearing a teenage mutant ninja turtle beanie that Tim would have loved 20 years ago!!:)

We lunched (Louise and I)@ DJ's noodle bar. - I had the chicken Pad Thai as usual -it's always a winner here.
